Dozens of cats removed from a Troy home are recovering at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
Those cats have been there for about a month now.

The animal response team from the shelter along with Troy’s animal control department successfully removed 44 cats last month from a home Lincoln Avenue.

The fear is there are still some cats inside that home.

A total of 32 cats have been adopted so far. There are three cats in foster care, and one is still being treated.

When the cats first arrived at the Humane Society, they had all sorts of health issues. That included malnourishment, along with skin conditions and respiratory issues.

A team of veterinarians at the humane society has been working to treat the cats.
