East Greenbush motel stabbing sends one person to hospital

A person was stabbed outside an East Greenbush motel, police said.

Police were called to Capital Inn and Suites on Columbia Turnpike just before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center with a chest wound, police said.

A K-9 found a gun police believe was also part of the fight.

One person was arrested. Police have not released the suspect’s name yet or any possible charges.
