A Troy police chase ended with eight cars and two homes damaged. Now the driver is facing charges.
Troy police say 41-year-old Rasheed Canada was traveling on 6th Avenue, when the officer on duty noticed he was driving with no headlights.
Police say they tried to pull him over, but Canada did not stop.
The police followed Canada and say he then began driving down a one-way street, and damaged eight vehicles and a house.
Officers say he then tried to take off running, but was quickly caught.
One person who didn’t want to go on camera tells NewsChannel 13 he was in his home when he heard sirens and a loud bang.
When he looked out his window, he saw the back end of his car was completely damaged.
He said he’s working on getting his car fixed, and he’s glad everyone is okay.
