Elderly woman killed in Clifton Park Northway crash

A person has died in a crash on the Northway, in Saratoga County.
The crash happened around 7:15 Wednesday night.
State police say a preliminary investigation has found a car traveling southbound, went over the median into the northbound lanes and hit a vehicle, driven by Charlain Danaher, 80, of Ballston Spa. Danaher died at the scene.
The four people in the other car were taken to Albany Medical Center, and are expected to survive.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The crash closed the Northway in the Clifton Park area for several hours.
