Albany County District Attorney David Soares is scheduled appear at a meeting of the Albany County Legislature on Wednesday evening.

Soares is facing criticism for giving himself a $22,000 bonus from a state grant his office received.

Soares insists he did nothing wrong, but decided to give the money back.

The legislature’s law and finance committees are holding a joint meeting.  

Soares is up for reelection this year and is facing a primary challenge from former District Attorney Paul Clyne and defense attorney Lee Kindlon.
