The Empire State Plaza Ice Rink in Albany is scheduled to open this Friday.

The rink will be open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

It’s free to skate, but $5 if you need to rent a pair of skates.

Skate rentals are free on Saturdays, thanks to Hannaford.

The rink opening is always dependent on the weather.
