Police: Ex-employee stole narcotics from CVS

An employee at CVS is accused of stealing prescription medications from bottles.

An ex-employee at CVS is accused of stealing prescriptions from the pharmacy.

Joseph Stetz of East Greenbush allegedly took prescription narcotics from bottles that were waiting to be picked up at the CVS Pharmacy in Defreestville, North Greenbush Police said.

He was arrested by the New York State Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement following a brief investigation.

Stetz was charged with two felony counts of falsifying business records, three counts each of obtaining prescription controlled substances by fraud, petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was released to return to court at a later date.
