Saratoga Springs may settle ex-worker's discrimination case

A former Saratoga Springs city worker could get a $100,000 settlement in her discrimination lawsuit against two former top officials.

Marilyn Rivers, who worked as the director of risk and safety, said former Mayor Ron Kim and former Public Safety Commissioner Jim Montagnino defamed and harassed her.

Both Kim and Montagnino have denied the allegations.

Now, the city is negotiating a settlement with Rivers despite a pending motion to dismiss the lawsuit, according to The Times Union, which was first to report the story.
