A federal appeals court has denied Keith Raniere’s request for a new trial with a new judge.

The former NXIVM leader had filed a request for a new judge in a case.

Raniere’s attorney filed an appeal back in May, saying the first judge in the case lacked judicial temperament and showed personal distaste towards his client. That appeal failed in December.

The Wednesday filing was the latest attempt to secure a new trial. It was denied after just one day.
Raniere is currently serving a 120-year sentence in federal prison.
