Federal government awards state $13.5 million for suicide prevention

New York state has is getting $13.5 million from the federal government to prevent suicide.

The State Office of Mental Health got two federal grants to expand access to mental and behavioral health services for youth in primary care practices.

The money will also help implement the “zero suicide” model at 13 certified community behavioral health clinics across the state.
