The “Troy Turkey Trot” is back for its 75th year. There is a 10K and a 5K version.

The race is held on Thanksgiving morning, drawing as many as 6,000 participants.

It primarily benefits two local charities – Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and Joseph’s House & Shelter.

Organizers say every dollar they raise helps.

They also say they are aware of COVID concerns, and will allow participants to drive through to pick up their race-day credentials at La Salle Institute.
