Fire damages abandoned Schenectady building apparently used by squatters

Fire damaged an abandoned building in Schenectady early Friday morning.
The Schenectady Fire Department received a report just before 12:30 a.m. for a structure fire at the two-story building at 115 Victory Ave.. Although the home was abandoned, it appeared that people were living inside, officials said.
The fire was brought under control in around 15 minutes.
The cause is under investigation.
