An early morning fire damaged an Albany home on Monday.

The fire broke out at 39 Verplank St. just after midnight, investigators said.

Two people were awake at the time, and they woke up a third person who was sleeping.

Everyone got out safely.

Firefighters quickly put the fire out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but firefighters don’t think it’s suspicious, they said.
