The cause of a house fire in Gloversville is under investigation.

The fire broke out around 12:30 Tuesday morning at 31 Maple Street.

Most of the flames were in the basement, according to firefighters.

Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading above the first floor.

The Red Cross is helping two adults and two teenagers.

The home is salvageable, according to firefighters.
