A fire on Second Street in Rensselaer is under investigation.

Flames broke out at a home on Second Street Sunday afternoon.

The fire quickly consumed the attic.

The intense heat was a challenge for firefighters, but they were able to keep the flames from spreading to an attached home.

No one was hurt.

The cause is still under investigation.
