The West Sand Lake Fire Department teamed up with national nonprofit, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, to build 20 beds for children.
The group is made up of volunteers, with chapters in different states.
Their mission is to give all children a safe, comfortable place to sleep.
They say too many little boys and girls end up on couches or floors, and that can affect their happiness and health.
