FIRST ON 13: Argyle man, 19, arrested on child porn charges after threats

A 19-year-old Argyle man is facing charges for allegedly possessing child pornography.

State Police received information that Allen Jameson was threatening investigators who arrested John Petteys last week for allegedly having sex with a 12-year-old girl.

Investigators found the child porn when they began looking at Jameson’s communications, they said. The investigation began after police received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Jameson was arrested at his home Wednesday by the Special Operations Response Team.

He was charged with felony counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. Jameson also faces a misdemeanor of aggravated harassment for allegedly threatening a law enforcement agent.

Jameson was arraigned in Washington County Centralized Arraignment Court and sent to Washington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
