The man accused of stealing and crashing a police cruiser in Granville has been indicted by a Washington County grand jury.

Robert Murat-Hinton, of Granville, is facing a 10-count indictment for allegedly burglarizing a home on the same day in August that he stole a Granville Police Department patrol car and crashed it.

Murat-Hinton is the same man who is suing the Fort Edward Police Department and former officers because they fired a Taser at him while handcuffed at the police station in 2021. NewsChannel 13 obtained video of that incident.
