The first residents have started moving back into Harbour Point Garden Apartments in Troy.

People in 50 units were forced out four weeks ago after the city cited safety concerns with the apartment building. Five units have now been cleared for people to live there again.

This comes the same day Troy City Council wants the New York state attorney general to get involved in this investigation.

City Council President Carmella Mantello said she already reached out to the attorney general’s office about this.

The city council will conduct its own investigative hearings over what led to the uninhabitable conditions at the apartments, she said.
