First responders honored at Saratoga Race Course

NYRA hosted their annual First Responders Day at the Saratoga Race Course on Thursday.

Festivities celebrate and honor police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians.

Some highlights will be a trackside demonstration by the New York State Police K9 Unit, and a performance by the New York State Troopers Pipe & Drum Band.

All first responders in attendance were being recognized during the fourth race of the afternoon at 2:50.

The New York State Police also hosted a recruiting event at the track.
