First year of NY mobile sports betting brings in $16 billion

New York state says more than $16 billion was wagered in the first year of mobile sports betting.
That generated $909 million – the most for any state in the nation.
Around $5 million of that will fund sports programs for underserved youths, and $6 million will go to problem gambling education and treatment.
The rest will go towards education funding.
