Fishing season expanding, starting on May 1
We’re quickly approaching the full fishing season.
It’s already open season on trout.

But May 1, that will expand to walleye, northern pike, pickerel and tiger muskellunge.
Walleye are now found in more than 140 waters across the state, because of stocking and other management efforts.
