Flooding shuts down Lansingburgh library
Recent flooding has temporarily shut down the Lansingburgh branch of the Troy Public Library.
Luckily, most books, computers and furniture are OK, said the library in an email to patrons. However, new carpeting installed last January had to be removed.
The library hopes to make repairs and reopen soon.
Meanwhile, many services – including items waiting to be picked up – are being moved to the main library branch in Troy.
No additional fines are being added to accounts.
