Forest ranger from Warren County home after fighting Montana wildfire

A local forest ranger is back home, after battling a wildfire in Montana. Forest Ranger Chuck Kabrehl left August 4 for a two-week assignment at the Big Knife Fire in Montana.

Kabrehl – based in Warren County – served as a task force leader who supervises a crew of wildland firefighters from across the country.

The fire has burned approximately 7,300 acres and is currently 13% contained.
