Former Albany Med worker admits to stealing ring from patient
A former Albany Medical Center worker now admits she stole a ring from a sleeping patient.
Caitlin Mullaney pleaded guilty Friday to grand larceny.
Mullaney admitted she took the ring off the finger of a 75-year-old patient while the patient was sleeping on a stretcher in the emergency room.
She has denied the theft, until now.
Mullaney faces six months in jail, along with five years of probation. She must also pay back restitution.
