The U.S. District Attorney’s Office says Steven St. Lucia plead guilty to tax fraud charges for allegedly submitting false Medicare payments through Union Foot Solutions in Schenectady.

He had been barred from participating in all federal health care programs.

St. Lucia’s medical license was revoked in early 2000 based on findings that he had committed morally unfit conduct or incompetence, which prevented receiving payments from Medicare.
St. Lucia’s expected to serve a sentence of 2 to 6 years in prison and pay more than $40,000 in restitution to the state.
