Former Rensselaer County corrections officer sentenced for inmate sexual abuse

A former Rensselaer County corrections officer is heading to jail.
Sean Morrissey of Waterford was sentenced Thursday in federal court.
Morrissey will serve three years of probation and six months in jail for sexually abusing an inmate in his custody at the jail in 2018.
Morrissey previously pled guilty to a one-count indictment of abusive sexual contact.
