Fort Edward couple charged with grand larceny

A Fort Edward couple is facing grand larceny charges.
Troopers got a complaint, they said, that a contractor stole money meant to pay subcontractors.
The victim hired Property Pro Builders, LLC to oversee the building of a Fort Ann home, said investigators.
The company is owned and run by Mark and Megan Hafner.
The Hafners withdrew money from a construction loan meant to pay subcontractors for completed work, but failed to fully reimburse them – and kept more than $45,000, said New York State Police.
