Four people arrested in Amsterdam prostitution sting

Four people have been arrested as part of a prostitution sting in the city of Amsterdam.

Shanice Aaliyah Nuttall and Aushaule N. Jenkins-Prayer, both of Albany, Sandra J. Bowen, of Troy, and Sylvia D. Stinson, of Schenectady, were charged with misdemeanor counts of prostitution.

The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Amsterdam Police Department, New York State Police and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.  

Police are not releasing more specific details because of the investigation is ongoing. 

“Exploitation of any kind is unacceptable. Our office is committed to working with law enforcement to aggressively pursue those who profit from the suffering of others. We commend the outstanding work of all agencies involved in this operation and will continue to fight for the safety and well-being of our community,” said Montgomery County District Attorney Lorraine Diamond in a statement.
