Funeral held for Pittsfield serviceman killed in Japan Osprey crash
A funeral was held for Jacob Galliher on Wednesday. The Pittsfield staff sergeant was killed in an Osprey crash in Japan.
Family and friends gathered Wednesday to say their final goodbyes to Air Force Staff Sgt. Jacob Galliher, from Pittsfield.
A funeral service was held at Saint Agnes Catholic Community in Dalton on Wednesday morning.
Galliher was killed when an Osprey crashed off the coast of Japan during a training mission last month.
The Galliher family released a statement saying they are grateful for all the love and support they have received. They also said Jacob’s life was a blessing that had a lasting impact on everyone around him.
