Funeral service held for former Lynnwood Elementary School principal

A funeral was held Monday for a former principal in the Guilderland School District.
Alicia Rizzo passed away on August 7, after a hard-fought battle with metastatic breast cancer.
She retired in 2021 after serving as the principal of Lynnwood Elementary School for 11 years. Rizzo was also one of NewsChannel 13’s “Today’s Women.”
The funeral service was held Monday morning at Grace Fellowship in Watervliet.
