GE to conduct survey on Hudson River pollution

General Electric has agreed to conduct a study of possible contaminants in the Lower Hudson River from the Troy Dam to the New York Harbor.

GE will now work with the EPA to help investigate the condition of the river, after decades with pollution in the river.

The EPA is also working to determine who else might be liable for the PCBs, and any other contamination.

These studies are set to begin next year.
