Kaylin Gillis’ friends and family remember her life

Today marks one year since she was killed for pulling into the wrong person's driveway.

Kaylin Gillis had a contagious smile and would light up every room.

Her father, Andy, describes his oldest daughter as having a heart overflowing with kindness and love.

Gillis would have turned 21 years old this past Feb. 23.

She is the oldest of three daughters to Andy and Angel Gillis.

A 2021 graduate of Schuylerville High School, Gillis was a talented artist. Her artwork has decorated the halls of the school.

She adored Disney and knew the names of every character.

Gillis had dreams of becoming a marine biologist. She loved all animals, especially dolphins.

She was fiercely loyal, said her friends, and would always make them smile and laugh.
She continues to live on through the memories and pictures shared every day. The “Justice for Kaylin Gillis” Facebook page has more than 6,500 followers with messages every day about this young woman who left such a great impact on this community.

The loss of Gillis has left an undeniable void in the lives of her family and friends.
At the sentencing for the man convicted of killing Gillis, Judge Adam Michelini shared thoughts of this young life ripped away.

Gillis was said to be the glue of her family.

She still is, even one year after her sudden passing.
