Girl’s kidnapper to serve sentence at Elmira prison
Craig Ross, the man who abducted a girl from Moreau Lake State Park, has been assigned to Elmira Correctional Facility to serve his sentence.
The man who admitted to kidnapping a 9-year-old girl has been assigned to Elmira Correctional Facility to serve his sentence.
Craig Ross Jr., 47, was admitted to the maximum security prison on Monday, according to the state inmate database.
Ross was sentenced last Wednesday to 47 years to life in prison for abducting the girl from Moreau Lake State Park last September. The kidnapping sparked a frantic two-day search until she was found with Ross in camper behind a trailer home in the town of Milton.
He is not eligible for release until September 2070.
