Glens Falls Police are investigating two crashes this week involving e-bikes.

On July 23, an e-bike and SUV crashed at the intersection of Bay Street and Sanford Street just before 2:15 p.m., police said. The e-bike operator had serious injuries and was taken to Glens Falls Hospital and later Albany Medical Center. The victim’s condition is stable.

The investigation determined that the e-bike operator went through a red light at Bay Street and was struck by the SUV heading west on Sanford Street. The e-bike operator received a ticket.

Another crash took place just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, at the intersection of Bay Street and Grand Street. The operator of the e-bike also did not stop at a red light and was struck by the SUV crossing the intersection from Grand Street on a green light. The e-bike operator was hurt and was treated and released at Glens Falls Hospital.
