Glens Falls to hold hearing on $24 million budget
Glens Falls has set a public hearing for Tuesday on its $24 million budget for 2024.
The hearing will take place at 7:15 p.m. in City Council Chambers.
The city’s budget would increase the tax levy by 1.89%. Among the initiatives are an increase in salary for city police officers to keep their pay competitive with surrounding agencies.
There is also money for sidewalk replacement and road paving, recreational park improvements, new equipment for the fire department and Department of Public Works, as well as other infrastructure updates, city officials said.
