An autopsy has been completed on a dead body that was found on the bank of the Cayadutta Creek in Gloversville on Tuesday.

Officers were dispatched to the creek in the area of River Street at around 1:15 p.m.
NewsChannel 13 has learned that the incident appears to be suspicious. Police said there is no threat to the public.
Police have been tight-lipped about the investigation, but said that the victim has been identified. The person’s identity is not being released pending notification of the victim’s family.
Authorities anticipate that will happen on Thursday.
The investigation is ongoing.
