A GoFundMe has now been created to help the family of a fisherman who fell in the Mohawk River.

The family of Nicholas Williams started the fund. Williams fell into the river near Lock 12 in Montgomery County on June 13.

Police tell us that he was trying to get his fishing pole back after the line caught on something.

Williams’ body was found five days later.
