‘Aviation Adventures’ in Glenville

Some exciting things are happening at the Empire State Aerosciences Museum in Glenville. Students 10 to 17 years old are invited for “Aviation Adventures” on the last Saturday of each month. The first class is January 28 – and will focus on the museums two C-130 Hercules. Call the museum to sign up.

Hot tea in Berkshires

Spread the warmth. That’s the goal of Extra Special Teas in Berkshire County. The tea shop is delivering hot tea and warmth kits – filled with food, toiletries and warm clothing throughout the Berkshires. You can help with a $10 donation. Extra Special Teas has two locations – one in Great Barrington and one in Housatonic.

Winterfest returns in East Greenbush

Winterfest is returning to Goff Middle School in East Greenbush.

Enjoy a full day of family fun – pancakes in the morning, bounce houses a birds of prey show and more. It all starts at 8 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, at the school on Gilligan Road.

Glenville distillery opens

A new distillery in Glenville is celebrating its official grand opening.

Murray’s Fools Distilling cut the ribbon on its distillery and tasting room on Amsterdam Road. As a New York State Farm Distillery, at least 75% of fruits and grains used are from New York state.

Nine Pin Ciderworks in Albany is re-releasing its popular earl grey specialty cider.

The cider is created with Short and Stout Tea Company – which is based in Guilderland, and crafted with only New York state apples.

Nine Pin is the state’s first farm cidery.
