Gov. Hochul initiative hopes to aid in criminal investigations
Police and prosecutors in Troy and Schenectady will soon have new tools to fight crime.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced a new initiative to support five cities around the state with funding to implement ways to improve criminal investigations.
The focus is on solving non-fatal shootings as well as to prevent retaliatory gun violence.
The other areas sharing upward of $870,000 in funds are Utica, Buffalo, and Rochester.
