Gov. Hochul signs breast cancer recovery legislation
October is breast cancer awareness month and a new law will now support women recovering from the disease.

Governor Kathy Hochul signed a new bill – meant to help breast cancer survivors who choose reconstruction surgery after a mastectomy.
It will require breast reconstruction and chest wall reconstruction to be covered by insurance.
One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes.
