Hochul announces new statewide initiatives raising awareness for Suicide Prevention Month
Friday afternoon, the Governor’s office announced new statewide initiatives to raise awareness for suicide prevention month.

The governor is announcing a new digital public service campaign and issued a proclamation recognizing September as national suicide prevention month.
The digital campaign will feature ads spreading awareness of suicide prevention resources.
State buildings and landmarks will also be illuminated in purple and teal Friday and Saturday ahead of suicide prevention day on Saturday.
