Governor Hochul declares October domestic violence awareness month
Governor Kathy Hochul issued a proclamation, declaring October domestic violence awareness month.

During October, her office will be rolling out a new campaign that hopes to bring domestic violence struggles into the light.
The campaign is called Start the Conversation.
The governor says she wants to help the 1 in 4 female New Yorkers and 1 in 10 male New Yorkers who are affected by domestic violence.
