Governor Hochul says this will give some much needed support for families struggling with inflation and rising costs.

The newly signed bills will expand eligibility for state property tax exemptions and provide benefits on a more flexible timeline for senior homeowners in need of emergency repairs.

The state has also expanded access to Medicaid by raising the income limit for New Yorkers 65 years old and up.
