Grant gives small businesses big boost in Albany

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan joined the city’s American Rescue Plan Act grant to award funds to local entrepreneurs.

The first round of the program saw over $200,000 spread between 26 Albany businesses, a majority of which were women or minority owned.

Local officials gathered at The Steam Garden in Albany to announce the next round of awarded funds.

Business owners were eager to express their excitement for the new funding.
