Pilot killed in Greene County plane crash

The pilot and one dog was killed in a plane crash in Greene County on Sunday.

A Cessna T210L crashed around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 in a remote location in the town of Windham. The plane was traveling from Maryland to Albany carrying the pilot and three dogs.

The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator was identified as Seuk Kim, 49, of Springfield, Virginia.

A second dog has two broken legs and being cared for at the Capital District Veterinary Hospital in Latham. The third one is missing.

A preliminary report from the FAA says the “aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances in mountain terrain, Albany, NY.”

New York State Forest Rangers, State Police, Greene County Emergency Services, the Windham and Hensonville fire departments and the Civil Air Patrol assisted at the scene.

The FAA is responding, and the investigation is ongoing.
