Greenfield Center man sentenced for U-Haul DWI

A Greenfield Center man was sentenced on Tuesday to 1 to 3 years in prison for driving a U-Haul drunk and crashing into a vehicle.

James McFarland, 55, crashed into the back of a municipal worker’s vehicle on Feb. 13, 2023, in Clifton Park.

McFarland’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit, police said. His driver’s license was revoked because of multiple previous DWI convictions within the past 10 years.

McFarland pleaded guilty in March to felony DWI.
