Guilderland man charged in crash that caused natural gas leak
A man in Guilderland is facing charges after a serious crash.
Christopher Jura, 43, of Troy crashed into a house, then a utility pole on Johnston Road near Western Avenue around 8:15 Thursday evening. That caused a natural gas leak, which forced people nearby to evacuate their homes.
The road was closed for several hours while National Grid made repairs.
Jura was arrested on charges of DWI, and leaving the scene of a crash.
He refused a breath test, and is due in Guilderland Town Court at a later date.
No one was hurt.
