Habitat for Humanity, Rivers Casino team up to build homes

Rivers Casino & Resort team members joined Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County for a company build day on Friday to celebrate Habitat’s 30-year anniversary.

The groups also hoped Friday’s build would call attention to the importance of team build days, to help bring members of the local business community together to raise awareness and funds.

“It’s really what we strive to do. Makes us feel great getting out in the community. Getting out of the office is always cool on a day like this, but giving back to the community is what we’re all about at Rivers,” Rivers Casino General Manager Joe Lodise said.

Builds bring in thousands of dollars each year to help build healthy and affordable housing for people in every community, according to Habitat for Humanity.
