Albany standoff suspect in custody

A police standoff on Hawthorne Avenue in Albany has ended.
This all started as an EMS call around 5:40 Thursday evening, said police.
When firefighters got here, police say the man they were supposed to evacuate was in the backyard but ran back into the home. Firefighters then heard a noise and saw a window break.
A neighbor who lives across the street from where the standoff was happening gave us a doorbell camera. It shows us a different angle of the standoff.
At one point, you can see police hiding behind a car with their guns pointed at the apartment building.
The suspect was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
